Thanks for stopping by. I realize things get busy, or hectic, or even angry sometimes. Today (yesterday at this point) my body was angry with me. Back and Headaches all day and into the night. A little sleep, but insomnia wins again. So, I write.
Even at 2:24am, the world seems alive: big. I can hear cars drive by my small house and I wonder if they have had the same 24-hour experiences I have. The fact they are driving at this time of day: does that mean they are out of the norm or just chugging through the same old routine. I wouldn’t know because I’m usually asleep by now.
I guess my point in all this is that just because it doesn’t involve you doesn’t mean it’s not happening. The world continues to spin. People are on the road even at 2:28 am. The train barrels by. People are aware and alive. Things are shaking.
This doesn’t mean that we are insignificant; but that we are not the only ones who…fill in the blank. So even though I hurt today, doesn’t mean there is not someone out there who is hurting. Probably more than me. And the cool thing is, that there is a God who knows it, and is with us, and calls us into action. Even at 2:33 am. What’s He calling you to do today?

Hi Rob – I enjoyed your song “So Long” and then I was intrigued to go to your post “Do You Hear The Calling? So I’ll share – “Yes” I hear His calling, and meeting you yesterday was one of those “Duh????” moments. Seems like I’ve been running around in circles trying to do the Lord’s Will – making it harder than it really is – ’cause although I’m pursuing acting/modeling – I get an opp to play at the mall – I’ve got a brand new guitar – I’ve got a voice – I’ve got time – and now I’ve got a friend in you willing to help me out a bit with sound equipment info and maybe the opp to play with. I’ve felt this renewed confidence in myself since moving from PA (especially knowing no one in NC!) – I always thought the move was directed by the Lord. – I’d say if I could look through the eyes of God – I’d see a huge bright orange neon sign blinking “THIS IS MY WILL” – “I’M GIVING YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET STARTED” – “WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???”. I used to write when I was in my teens/early 20′s. I haven’t written since. Maybe some creative writing will come out as I play covers for my Christian faves. So many times I’ve searched for answers to questions only to find that the answers were simple. I have to start getting out of my own way!!! I’ll be in touch!
